Nominations and Elections
Our Legion is searching for dedicated members who are willing to help achieve and sustain the goals and objectives of the Royal Canadian Legion and our Branch, Windermere District Br 71. Members who will not only participate and organize the activities but also to do that little bit extra to keep our Branch vibrant and an active member of our community.
Once per year at the November General Meeting, a new executive council is elected. Nominations are now open for the following positions. Click on the position to access the Terms of Referance for that position.
November General Meeting, Monday November 24, 2025 at 7:00pm at the Branch
Positions 2026 - 2027
President (1 year term)
Vice President (1 year term)
Treasurer/Finance (1 year term)
Executive Member (2 year term)
To be nominated for a postion on the Executive Committee a Member must be in good standing (dues paid) at the time of nomination and have been a member of the Branch for one (1) year.
To be nominated for the position of President, the member must also have served on the Executive Committee for at least one (1) year
To nominate a member for a position on the Executive Committe you must be a Member in good standing of Windermere District Branch 71.
If any Member nominates themselves for a postion but cannot attend the November General Meeting, they must submit a written letter to the Branch Secretay stating their intentions and willingness to let their name stand for nomination.
